This week, I am going to quilt a mountain biker! Mountain biking has been having a moment these past few years, and it has become more than just an extreme sport; it has become a family sport. Last year, my best friend and I went to Golden, British Columbia, for our 40th birthday trip. We took a ride up the Kicking Horse Mountain, and there was a massive mountain biking event going on, and it was really fun to watch. Personally, I'm more interested in a nice e-bike ride along a lakeshore, but to each their own 😃.

In the mini border, I did a pearl chain with a little twist, I did a big one and then a little one. I love how modern this looks and am definitely going to incorporate it into more quilts. As a background fill, I used a topography style design. I think this represents mountain biking quite well.
