Grid Quilting Block 15
Sep 09, 2026It's time to get back to some geometric quilting! This is a pretty basic design with a wild amount of impact. I actually think all of these geometric designs are equally impactful. This one does take a little bit of extra marking, but once everything is marked, it goes quite smoothly, even if it does take a lot of time.

The only real trick here is marking your diagonal lines first and creating the grid, then adding in the horizontal and vertical lines. This is because we are human, we make mistakes, and we aren't all that straight 🤣. But in all seriousness, this way you can fudge these lines just a bit to make them fit within the original grid.

I have mentioned before that we can fill in these spaces with any dense filler to achieve a similar result, so don't get too hung up if your matchstick isn't your best design. Give micro stippling a go or even just scribble stitching.
