Grid Quilting Block 5

I called this design Opposite Squares; it's kind of like a Yin-Yang design. I seem to really like the designs where I stitch out the foundation first and then come back and add in the details. This is kind of the entire premise of my Modern Quilting with Rulers Course.

The more I think about this design, the more I want to build on it. I know that Judi Madsen does this kind of geometric quilting all over her quilts. I also know she marks her quilts more than anyone else in the business 🤣. But for me, I think the reality of using this design isn't really in the cards for me, unless it's for a show quilt or for a personal quilt. It's just a little too finicky and time-consuming.

Do you find geometric designs like this or even some of the other ones I've quilted to be too much effort? Do you love the slow, methodical quilting? If so, tell me why in the comments of the YouTube video (I'm guessing there are not too many people out there).
