Grid Quilting Block 7

After the SNAFU of a design last week, I decided to go back to something I know and that I do well. Dot-to-dot quilting. I first heard this term from Angela Walters quite a long time ago; it is one of my all-time favourite quilting techniques. If you are new here and don't know what dot-to-dot quilting is, it's basically like those connect-the-dot drawings. You go from point A to point B with a straight line. I don't use any dots in my video, but if you are just getting started with this design, I would encourage you to use your making tool and place the dots in until you get better at spacing your designs by eye.

I oriented my dot-to-dot design to travel vertically through my block, but give horizontal a try it looks just as good. I use dot-to-dot in my grids quite a bit, and you can achieve a lot of unique and interesting looks by changing it up just a bit.

This is a pretty easy beginner-friendly design, and it also translates to the domestic machine pretty easily, even using a walking foot.
