Block Series - Modern Style - Block 3

Quilt block number three took some serious time!  This block took 34:53 minutes to stitch out. If you watch the video you will notice that shortly after starting I had to rip some stitches out.  My longarm machine (Handi Quilter Avante) skips stitches sometimes when I haven't retimed it in a while or when I need to change the needle.  I changed the needle and restitched that line.

The reason this block took so long to quilt out was the angled piano key, I had a bit of a hard time seeing around the camera! I really like the overall look of this block and am super happy with the outcome.

The machine is an older Handi Quilter Avante with a stitch regulator.

I am using Glide Thread in the colour white. 

The marking pen I use is a Kering blue water-soluble marker (any blue one will do)

I used the Dude tool from Silly Moon Quilt Co. to measure the inside borders and help me decide how wide to make the next one. 

Rulers are Rocket by Silly Moon Quilt Co., 12" straight ruler by the Quilted Pineapple, #8 Curve by the Quilted Pineapple
